Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

2015 VW Golf Sportwagon Mk7 1.4TSI with DAP

The two driver assist features as mentioned in the title have stopped working and spit out this error on the dash when I try turning them on. All the radar sensors are working and this issue has appeared out of no where. I'll likely need to take it to a VW dealership for them to repair/recalibrate the system but I'm afraid of the potential cost.

I had the same problem with the same car (but diesel). Other errors came up on the dashboard too.
After a bit of research and checking, I measure the battery voltage which turned out to be a bit on the low side - just over 12 volts.
I recharged and the the errors disappeared. It happened again some time later so I recharged the battery again - fixed the problem.
Bottom line is that my battery is the original and it is wearing out. I turn off the "auto off" engine function now.
This could be your problem, you will need a multimeter to check voltage, should be up in the high 12 volts or 13
