K&N air filter for Mk7 series 1, 2013 GTI?

Hey Guys,

Bought a filter combo that included a k&n panel air
Filter (33-3005) that is said to fit my car, but it's not even
close to the dimensions of the original filter.

Can anyone chime in who has fitted a k&n to their
Mk7 GTI? I'm totally confused as all info I can find says
I have the correct filter

A quick check of the K&N website displays the following info for your car; K&N Products by Vehicle Search - Year, Make, Model, Engine Search

Part No. 33-2865

The part number you have is for MQB models...

Iooks like I have the wrong part number.
