  • Golf alltrack wheels size

    Hi everyone,

The golf alltrack seems to have a different offset with other golf, it comes with 205/55R17 7Jx17 ET42, and option with 225/45R18 7.5Jx18 ET45, which seems wont fit the mk7 Gti or R wheels? Also, i m looking at wheels with 235/35R19 8Jx19 ET49, would this size rub the inside of the wheels? And legal to be on the road?

    Thanks in advance!

Thats almost the same as mine
You are allowed 15mm difference in rolling diameter by vic roads
The difference between the two on my car is 12.8mm just squeezed it in
There are online calculators for this if you want to check for yourself
    I am running 235/35/19 with 51 offset

If you want to corner well replace the factory rear swaybar and linkages
It takes away the understeer and stops the body roll
Front now tucks into corners nicely and car stays flat
Combined with the wider wheels its a nice package

How is the 19” change the acceleration? From experience, bigger wheels will make the car feel much slower... i have a golf tdi before, from 15” to 17” the car feel much slower... Cant imagine how slugglish it will for the petrol engine with much less torque...

To be honest i changed to the 19 inch wheels about 1 kilometre up the road at the nearest tyre shop
So i have no experience with smaller wheels
But i have found it very good takes off just fine
If your worried about being sluggish get a ecu tune

            because they are heavier

Also, if you with to maintain the same overall diameter as the original, you'll need a 255/35r19 or a 225/40r19. If you go smaller in diameter it will look under-tyred.
