So I broke a piece off my front lip spoiler going up a steep driveway. Anyone know how much I’m looking at for a new one and how easy is it to remove the old one and replace it.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

The best thing would be to get a quote with a part number from the dealer Find a Dealer | Volkswagen Australia and then you can check online for a better price if available. Replacement should be pretty straight forward - check ErWin - Volkswagen AG erWin OnlineLast edited by SloAu; 16-07-2018, 07:36 PM.

Yes I got a quote for part number 5G0805915 nearly seven hundred bucks. However upon googling this part number, this looks like this is the part that the splitter sits on top of. I'm after the splitter itself.
I also got the following diagram but this doesn't look like a GTI 40. Does anyone else agree?
