iPhone SMS on 9.2 Infotainment

Paired my iPhone to the infotainment unit but no SMS text message option appears.

I’ve got an iPhone 7 and the 9.2 infotainment unit.

Anyone else have the same combination and have SMS text enabled?

It's possible that you have too many text messages. I had to clean out a lot of old messages before it would work.

In Bluetooth Settings on your phone, hit the (i) button and make sure Show Notifications is turned on too.

Thanks Mattlock, I saw that but assumed it was for beeping for appointment reminders and the like. Have enabled it now.

No worries. I only found out about that recently as my Mazda3 needs it enabled to handle SMS!
