Mk7.5 Fake tip resolution?

I come across a fair few Golf modifications in my wheel thread travels, but I hadn't really registered just how fake the exhaust tips were on the 7.5 non GTI/Rs:



Clearly won't appeal to many but one Canadian owner has gone a quad set-up by modifying the existing rear bar (rather than going for a replacement bar), a touch aggressive but pretty clean:

I was thinking of doing the same to my 18 RS wagon, maybe without the cutting though. Even the golf R wagon has fake tips...

True - I should have specified fake outlets perhaps.. I like cars with actual exhaust pipes out the back, the latest styling trends to these fake outlets does not appeal.

The RS looks like it would be an even easier job - look forward to seeing some results.

Our Golf 7.5 and Tiguan Mk2 both got fake backsides.
Not impressed, but I think it’s part of a plan to mask the fact we are still on ICE power, and prepare us for when we won’t need pipes, neither width nor quantity envy will matter.

Hiding the power source via extra sound proofing and hiding exhaust gas outlets are more than aesthetic.

My next car will be an EVW 😏

As long as it isn't one of those hideous Tesla 'SUVs'..

I think I'll resort to pissing everyone off on a bicycle before ever giving full EV a go..

Not any more, the 7.5 R wagon has 4 fully functioning exhaust outlets and no valves, so all 4 work all the time (the 7.0 R wagon had two real & two fakes)

I doubt it would fit properly - the back end of the wagon is quite a bit longer than the hatch.

I now use an electric bicycle for my commute, I piss off the car drivers and the cyclists
