  • Oil Change

Hey guys, just did my 50k oil change and looks like there is an oil leak from the drain plug. I didnt change the bolt or the washer, but read somewhere that it is meant to be changed on every service? Is it true? What size bolt should I be looking at?

Hi, I usually change my oil every 5k on all my cars. I bought the car at around 44k, so did a 50k just oil change myself.

The problem is I work from 830-5 and no way I can get it from dealer since they close at 5 (the one close to mine). I was thinking maybe I can get a set from autobarn? Or should I just finish early and rush to the dealership?

haha its not expensive. My car runs around 105-108 deg oil temp, only drive during the day to and from work, hence I would rather be safe than run thin/cooked oil. Although it won't be cooked, but I guess $80 oil change gives me peace of mind. I am a decent throttle dabber, not always :p

Sump Plug / Washer should be Part No: N90813202
Just call VW Parts Dept with your VIN and they will confirm.
