Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • DSG will not in basic setting 255/101/0

    Hello all,

Sorry for my bad english, but I translated by a translation machine.

    I have a golf 6 1.4 TSI DSG 7 -speed 2009.
My clutch was worn out so I have put a new plates .
Just want the car now not in basic setting.

When I at auto trans basic setting 060 intoets I first get a code 253 then some. I had sought means that the procedure has been started. Then you'll hear something ticking off the mechatronic and comes 255/101/0 code . I looked up and it means kupwegrampe k2 timeout . Maybe someone knows here what the exact content ?

K2 is clutch two I believe. Don't know much else about this.

    Have you seen these threads?

Replaced DSG7 gearbox, new one wont start adaptation.

Yes, I had read. I 'm going to try to look a little longer to drive than what the car is doing .

Esp and epc message on the dashboard and de engine light

Have you ever removed the mechatronics whilst changing clutches?!

Even incorrectly shimmed, basically is it failing in the first stage with engine off or with the engine running(2nd stage).

Failing in the first step generally indicates a fault with the mechatronics setting the gears. It shouldn't have been touched when doing clutch replacement but did you make sure to cap off the breather so the irreplaceable fluid did not leak out?

Failing in the second step indicates a fault in the shimming or adjustment of the clutches. Did you use all the tools correctly?

There was something wrong with the translate haha.

I placed another mechatronic in the car. The car will not reverse them. When you break the car and start going again who backward. In D, they drive the car perfect no problems.

If you reads him with vcds I get code: P073E

The basic setting is still unsuccessful. I now get the 4/0/0 code and when I drive I 6 shocks then falls off that feeling back in code 255/45/0.
