  • Bracket and Strap in Boot

I'm just about to take delivery of my 2009 Mk6. When I looked at the car I noticed a bracket and strap on the left hand wall of the boot. No equipment attached. What's this used for? I just want to make sure it's not missing anything.

Warning triangle & first aid kit? Both are options in AUS.

Now, I'm not sure if the dealers here actually remove them because they are not "standard" here.

When I took delivery of my Caddy Maxi Life, the dealer took me through everything and when he came to the area where the first aid kit etc. was, he first said "this is another storage pocket, usually empty" and was quite surprised when he saw the first aid kit etc. still in it. By this point he could not remove it and so I ended up with it

Yep I saw the gap in the mid rear seat and recognised a first aid kit sized hole

With the bracket, for memory it was squared, so not sure if this would fit a fire extinguisher.

              Bracket and Strap in Boot

My 2006 Polo GTI has the same thing. I bought a first aid kit for around $20 from my local Audi dealer that fits in the bracket perfectly. The strap though is too long. I just threaded the strap over it self and it holds it in
