Recaro seatbelt warning

Hi all!

Could someone with factory Recaro's confirm that the passenger seat doesn't have a seatbelt off warning sensor? Just waited 2 months for a part ordered by Chatswood Classic Cars to fix the passenger seatbelt warning sensor only for them to say, having had my car all morning, that it doesn't exist with recaro seats...this mob have been nothing but a pain in the arse!!!

It has a sensor, in that the seatbelt warning light will light up when someone sits in the passenger seat and once they put the belt on it will extinguish the light. Same for the chime. So, yes is the answer to your question.

Is this with the golf R recaros though? I know all other golfs have one but the mechanic dealing with my car today seemed to think the recaros only have the warning on the drivers side! Seems odd to me?!

The GTI doesn't have the option of the Recaros - you'll just have the standard seats.

Sorted guys! Thanks for the reply's. The Recaro seats in fact don't have a seat belt warning hooked up for the passenger seat. If I take anything from this it is DON'T go to VW Chatswood Classic Cars for any warranty work!!!

From the posts I've seen from various members I'd say don't go to Chatswood for anything... they have quite the reputation here
