Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • HPA BBK - any feedback

I've been looking around at the various BBK packages with most focus on the brembo, Alcon, AP kits. Has anyone run the HPA 6 pot setup?

They do look sharp. Any idea how long APR have had them? I'd love to hear from anyone using them.

        Mate,

I have had these on my R for less than 2 years, and they are the ducks nuts. They stop a third better than stock, they dissipate heat better and I got a amazing deal from Ian at Rennenhaus ( I think APR have the exclusive on these now ).

You get two size hats to chose from to suit your wheel offset, so make sure you have the right one otherwise there could be issues, but otherwise these are the best bang for buck on my car.

        Swalee

PS: my OZ offsets are ET48 on wide hats.

Any pics of the VWR BBK + OZ?

From what I can see from the web sites both Rennenhaus and APR are showing these kits for the same sort of cash.
            Thanks for the heads up.

Joe I'll post when I get home, I'm just back from overseas.
Email Ian from Rennenhaus he might still do them, or wait for a APR discount, if they are doing one at Christmas. Pretty awesome brakes.

Thanks Swalee. I'll drop Ian a line and see what he can do. Nothing like buying yourself a BBK Chrissy present. I'm thinking blue calipers could be good.

                  Love to see your pic's
