Removing head lights MK6 Golf

Hi guys does anyone have a good link, for a diy on removing the headlights.
want to be able to get in to them for good access to the cabling and changing globes.

Just wondering if removing the bumper is required or not.

I can see i probably don't need to remove any of it at this stage.
how ever i would like to just unplug the hardness plugging into head lights.
how ever that seems quite difficult I can get the harness to unplug.
the clip is very hard.

i remember having the same problem on my audi the plugs are a pain in the ass.
