Dunno. They are the specialists. Ask them for the partno and dimensions & post position to make sure it's right.
Seriously, I'd try somewhere local. Google "Varta battery brisbane" or "Bosch battery brisbane" and you'll get plenty of hits local to you.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic

Just ring batteries direct in Peakhurst (or Penshurst - I always get the two confused.) The battery is no different to the other Golfs AFAIKcarandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic

They have a different type of cells. I went for the Yuasa, thought I would give it a shot as I went through two Vartas in less than 4 years/84,000km and figured I couldn't do much worse than that with the Yuasa, however YMMV (literally).
Yuasa are a good battery. I'd fit one in a New York minute.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic

Just changed the car battery last week, all of a sudden it just went dead overnight no warning signs at all.
Not a bad run, just over 4 years old on the oem battery.
Picked up a sealed super start battery from Lansvale for $150 and 10 mins to fit, cheaper than NRMA who wanted double the price.

Replacing the bettery
Hi everyone.
Apologies if this has been covered before, did a quick check and couldn't find the answers
The battery on my 2010 golf is starting to struggle when starting on these cold mornings. It is the original battery. Since I have more than 6 years out of it, I guess a new one is on the cards.
Question is.....once the battery has been replaced, what (if anything) needs to be reset? I am guessing the security on the radio for a start and do I need to take it to VW to do this?
Thanks in advance2010 90TSI Manual / Comfort Pack / United Grey

Your radio will work and once you drive the fault for the steering and the traction control should also turn itself off, though maybe the airbag fault will need resetting with scanner.Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link

Did mine last year, nothing needed to be reset, just change it straight away. As in unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Yes lots of faults until you drive forward for about 10 metres.
