Changing GTI/R Steering Wheel Emblems.

Hey guys,

If you didnt already know, I think with the MY12 model GTI's the Streering Wheel Emblem is now black.

For those that have a previous MY you can easily swap it now:

HOW DO YOU REMOVE YOUR EXISTING EMBLEM?

Well apparently its as simple as just grabbing behind the emblem and pulling it towards yourself. I am yet to do this myself and I do not take any responsibility if you stuff it up. There are apparently 3 clips that keep it in place and if you are firm but not forceful it should just come off.

I read it in a thread just before, but I cant seem to locate it now...

Post up if you have already done this, or know how to remove the existing embelms?

Item Codes? and Cheaper prices?

If anyone knows what the item codes for these are, they might be cheaper from another website or maybe even an Ebay seller?

Hmm even though you picked up your GTI in 2011, it could be a 2012 Build MY12 Builds would have starting being made around July or something in 2011.

maybe, i did get bt and the mdi in it, and it was stock besides that.
i picked it up in june 2011, but i ordered it around april and it was already on the ship then, so prob built around feb. that would be too early for my12 tho

It was introduced on the MY11.5 not MY12. Same goes for LED daytime running lights with bi-xenons.
