ow, come on! you're making go back to square one again you're absolutely right, some owners are asking for a bit much.

Seller is asking for mid $46k, it's been for sale for about 2weeks now, 2010 make model. I know I can get a brand new GTI DSG (don't want to get into gti-vs-r) for that price but my wife really likes the RB colour and so do I.

As for dealers, the ones on carsales anyway, seem to be similar prices to when they first arrived back in 2010. So knowing it'll be superseded by MKVII in 2-3yrs, can't bring myself to pay that sort of money.

I know a base R can be had for $52-$53k brand new off the showroon floor. A 2010 has 2 yrs of warranty gone so that alone is worth the gap of $6k as anything that needs fixing can be pricey. Speak to Rob here from Gold Coast VW (who is a member here) as he always does fab deals
Current ride: 2014 Range Rover Evoque 5 Door TD4 Pure | 9 Spd Auto | Fuji White | Black Leather | 19 inch 'Dynamic' Wheels

Previous rides: MY11.5 Golf GTI 5 door | DSG | Candy White | 18' Detriots | Bluetooth | K&N Air Filter | Dancing Dials (Oh Yeah!)
        | 1989 Porsche 944S2 Coupe| Guards Red| Leather| Sunroof| LSD

Yes, have tried Rob before because of the numerous recommendations here however I assume he's pretty busy as he passed my enquiry on to his minions and that person quoted me $64990 for a black R-DSG leather and satnav. I specifically asked for an RB though.

Have tried other dealers in QLD but not getting any joy hence why I hit the used-car market.

Don't be afraid of buying interstate.

If the savings are there it is worth it.
