  • How much would you pay for this GTI?

I've been looking for a while now for a new or near new DSG GTI and this one 2011 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF GTI DSG VI MY11 Private Cars For Sale in VIC - carsales.com.au has quite a few options (minus Xenons) and is in Victoria which is where I am.

Considering some bargaining + stamp duty (which would be around $1100) what do you think would be a VERY good price overall?

    Thanks.

All i can say is that a Edition 35 Brand new Drive away in NSW could of been had for $47K

considering you need to pay Stamp Duty, i would offer $40K, appears an urgent sale.

Which in the end will cost you $41.5K thereabouts.

The buyer could have got a Corporate discount etc so they would have paid maybe $45K drive away.

I'd be delighted to have it for $41.5k after stamp duty, seems too cheap for me but you never know. Are you sure you took notice of all the extras he had?

      18" wheels
      Bluetooth
      MDI
      Sunroof
      Park Assist
      Rear view camera
      Satellite Navigation
      Leather interior and metallic paint.

Like it or not, it's still a second-hand car, and depreciation is a big factor the moment the car's driven off the lot. Those options would make the car good value at $50k if new... but it's not. It's also listed as an MY11 and presumably was registered in December, so the owner likely bought it as dealer stock, further impacting on any potential value (worth checking the build plate to confirm the MY though).

          My 2 cents. I think they'll easily find a buyer between 43.5 - 45k.

that's a good 8-10k of extras.. 43-45 would still be a good price.
