        wow is that a one-off? Haven't seen a red R before.. didn't even know they offered red for the R!

          They do in Germany. VWA chooses not to import the R in that colour, but occasionally one sneaks through the net. Another member (in Sydney IIRC) has a Tornado Red R, and has posted in the photos thread. Can't recall if it's a 3- or 5-door.

            yes, the thread a few mths back had some pics at the dealership, and if i recall, there was another red sold as well elsewhere. so they are around.

              Rosemead from Sydney, 2 years ago ordered and received a 5 door red R. Another one, 5 door was ordered as a red R that fell through due to finance at Barloworld fivedock. All up this would be the 4th one I know of in Australia.
              Golf R, Rising Blue, 5 Door, DSG and some extra fruit.
              Viagra on 4 wheels !!

                        CW is still the best colour for the GTI!!!! Even if RB was available, it simply would not work with the red strips on the grill......

                            Yes, you are right i think there are only 2 or 3 in australia that are in red.

                              Love the wheels, but I don't really like the red....

                              Agree with the comment regarding white. Love white (or black) GTIs... Blue is nice with the R, but yeah that doesn't do it for me.. I dunno.

                              The yellow on reception looks pretty good.
