i got a 118tsi dsg and i put it into S today (to give the turbo some much deserved exercise), floored the pedal and off she went.
revved to about 6500, maybe a little more and then it felt like there was loss of power before the next gear bit. it kinda felt like a horrible gear change where you're thrown forward from engine brake then backwards from the surge of torque. the turbo made an odd sound too, instead of the usual pop it sounded like it got choked on something and had to cough it out (sorry, thats the best i could do with descriptions
)
i couldnt find a proper place to redline (and beyond) the engine again to see if it was just a one-off incident but otherwise it feels the same. any clue what was going on, or could it just be traction control trying to limit torque since i was technically going uphill with a little turn.
