Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I have search around the thread of "The Official MK6 Forum Important Threads & Posts Index **LOOK HERE FIRST**" but due to my poor English, i did not find some information about my problem. so i open a new thread, sorry for this.

Recently when i washed my car i found some scratch on the boot and the rear bumper,i did not found any contact between them, but it must have been contact in some situation.i am confused.I have taken some photos of them.may be this can help me and others.

The scratch can only be found on the left hand side of the bumper and boot, from the picture above it is clear to see a smaller gap on left hand side than right hand side The scratch can be found on both boot and bumper in same place.I forgot to take a pic of the bumper, maybe tomorrow i will take one.How to solve this problem should i let the dealer to adjust the bumper ?

Larger pictures can be found on this link:

If the gap is uneven you should definitely take it back to the dealer.

I've renamed the thread to "Hatch alignment issues" so that it's meaningful to people browsing and searching.

I can't recall anyone complaining about this issue on a MK6, but I agree with Alok, there is clearly an alignment issue, so take it to your dealer's service dept.

Probably the bumper is not clipped in fully.

Try (on the left hand side w/ small gap) pushing down the bumper and pulling out at the same time, followed by pushing it back in to seat in fully.
