Accessing obd on gti vi with App "Torque OBDII" via bluetooth

Has anyone had success operating the App "Torque OBDII" with there Golf VI ?
i thought how good would it be to read boost, speed, acceleration data live.
im trying it, but phone keeps saying "OBD device not found, retrying......."
Any hints out there to what i may be doing wrong, or settings etc
