  • Broken stitch on Golf Mk6 sports seat

I've got a broken stitch in the front passenger seat. It appears that a stud on my girlfriend's jeans caught the seat while she was getting out

Does anyone know where I can get it restitched? I just don't want it to get any worse. I am aware that these seats (from the sports package) are notorious for fraying and premature wear.

Below are some photos of the broken stitch.

Take it to an upholsterer to have a look at it.

I hope she is worth it.

Get a sharp needle, poke the loose end of the thread down into the fabric, and then the smallest drop of supa glue on the loose ends so it doesn't unravel!

I open and close the door for the female species and even help them in and out of the car sometimes...they think im being a gentlemen little do they now im protecting my investment. Needless to say there are a few benefits by doing that apart from an immaculate car...

I have considered doing that but I don't trust myself with applying superglue on the seat. Would be too easy for me to mess it up.

you always tell them to be careful but it appears that the more you tel them, the more likely it is they'll do something.

"careful when opening the door" *leaves fingernail scratch on the door*

My step dad is a shocker for having dirty/greasy hands.. opening/closing things.. pressing buttons and slamming doors :/ I cringe just thinking about him being a passenger!

My wonderful gf, god bless her soul, got so fed up with me telling her to be careful getting in and out of the car as well as not to scratch the glovebox lid with her luggage, i mean handbag, that she got into the car once with latex gloves!! Needless to say all i could do was laugh, take a hint and relax...
