hey guys just got the car in pearl black.

ive got a question on the front radiator grille though, i noticed on mine its full black but i do remember chrome accents being standard in a 118tsi (comfortline)...

is this normal or do i have to complain to get a new grille set at the dealer?

and do aftermarket products void the warranty? cause im interested in just getting an OEM/aftermarket GTI grille (without the gti badge...the honeycomb and the red lipstick is sooo desirable on a black car...) - anyone can give a shout where to get these?

Yes, the 118TSI was meant to have chrome accents on the grill. I don't recall any mention of that being changed in any of the MY changes.

As for warranty. There is no such thing as a warranty being "voided". Anyone who says such a thing you can just ignore, because they obviously no nothing about Australian consumer laws. You could put rocket launchers on your roof if you wanted, and if you have a radiator leak, that's still covered by warranty. However, they wouldn't fix flaking paint on your hatch spoiler, cause that will have been caused by the heat from your rocket launchers.

The above is a made up example of course, but it covers the gist of it. Any part you change, the dealer won't cover the warranty for that part (should be obvious), nor any problems caused by that part. The rest of your car is covered as normal.

Very weird that you got the Trendline grille.. Wonder what happened there?

I really like how it brings out the shape of the headlights more.. The stock TSI grille being all black blends in too much IMO..
