  • Removing the front grill on a 118TSI

Just after some assistance. Purchased a new front grill for the car and was mucking around today seeing how hard it is to get off the OEM grill.

I removed the 4 torques screws from the top surface and then followed advice from other forums about lifting and pulling at a 45 degree angle from the outside in, but had no luck with getting it off the car.

Does anyone know if the TSI grills sit a bit different to the R and GTI grills?
Or have any tips on removing it?

    Thanks,
    Anthony

There is just plastic clips holding the grill. Try to press the top of the bumper down, and at the same time pull the grill gently up and out.

I've got this picture of the grill off, don't know if that helps you at all:
