  • MY11 GTI fuses

Am installing a RVC into my new GTI. Thanks to Idle and Maverick. As per Maverick's guide, I (thought) I wrote down the positions of all fuses in the fuses box before removing them. This is the link to one of his pictures:

UNFORTUNATELY, I didn't write down the position of 5 fuses positions (2 15A and 3 20A large fuses). My fuse box has terminals in positions 41 through 45. (On Maverick's picture, it is the row second from the bottom with a 15 and 30A fuse in).
Could anyone with a GTI (preferably a MY11) PLEASE help by checking their's? (In case it's important, the only extras I have on my (3dr) GTI are MDI and BT.) I have RTFM but it is F-useless

Can the solution be posted here for everyone to benefit? Otherwise this thread is useless

            Sorry, Corey.
(Needed to try and work out how to post an image first). This is a photo of a Golf GTI MkVI fusebox. Importantly, however, not all these fuses would be in all GTI's (depending on accessories/optional extras) and some GTI's would have more. Hence the importance of making sure anyone who chooses to remove their fuses, for whatever reason, documents the position of ALL fuses before removal, and doesn't screw up like I did and only think you have documented them all

              Great advice! Thanks for that.

Good to see that I could help , keep in mind like I found out with O/P you may have more or less fuses depending on what accessories your car is fitted with.
