Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Finally got around to fitting these tonight. Problem was that I couldn't find a torx bit to suit the bolts that hold the seats in place. Ended up using 8mm Allen key which fits perfectly.

They fit well and, being OE, they look good also. Bit of a bitch to fit but worth it.

The exact tool needed is an M10 spline bit - Bursons can get the Kinchrome ones for about $10.50. I'll be fitting mine this weekend.

That's because you don't use a torx bit on the seats, you use a triple square or XZN bit.

Thanks, I'll know next time. I went to Bursons, showed them what I needed but they couldn't help.

I just got lucky with allen key, it did the job without damaging the bolts

Here's of the Kincrome one - KINCROME SPLINE SOCKET 1/2" SQUARE DRIVE 10MM. Bursons have them if you describe it properly (the torx reference would have thrown them off). The Kincrome part number is SS10M.

                Hi Fella's,

I have a question if i may ask...

Will the drawers fit in the MKVI if you have dynaudio and premium bluetooth installed as the Amplifier sits under the passangers seat and the Bluetooth Module sits under the drivers side seat?

                Cheers!

That's friggin' pathetic. Which branch was it? They deserve a bollocking.

The 2 branches I checked with for stock both knew what I wanted over the phone.

I've got a standard MY 2010 comfortline and I'm trying to work out which colour draw would best match the interior. The interior looks like a very dark grey or black, but I'm having trouble finding what anthracite, art grey or Titan black look like.

I just found a sticker on the underside of my rear seats in a 2010 comfortline golf wagon that had TITNBLK on it, so I am assuming the standard grey/black interior is titan black. I have ordered 2 of these in titan black anyway so I hope I'm right.

The under seat drawers fit fine with 4-door, autobahn, bluetooth and DynAudio. I got them from OEMPlus. Installation instructions are here: DIY - Seat Drawer Install - VW GTI Forum / VW Rabbit Forum / VW R32 Forum / VW Golf Forum - Golfmkv.com
took about 30 mins to do both.

I ordered Titan Black and having installed them today, I can verify the colour matches perfectly with the plastics in our MY 2010 Comfortline.
