    Quick settings question

I've picked up my new 118tsi and loving it, just one question, in the settings menu there is an option for Alt.speed.dis. What is that???

Thanks, seems like a pointless option, and I've checked the user manual trying to find the answer, I wasn't listed, it's the reason I asked.

It is in there... although I don't have it in front of my to give you the page number.

It's not pointless at all for people in Europe who travel between countries with speeds in Km/h and MPH etc.

Fair enough, it must be in another section, cause I have checked and checked, yes I know it's needed for Europe/America/canada etc, but car Markers normally adjust features and options for the Market in which they are being delivered, I know that was the case with my past japenses cars anyway.

I think the OP was looking for digital speed reading on MFD screen in kph.... Yes you can do that on MK6 GTI at least, it is in settings, I have it turned on and use it all the time, it helps save me from speeding fines ... so far! There is also an alternative speed readout which is much smaller digits and yes in mph.... as you are all aware...

Which, when changed to 4 flashes is perfect IMO.
