Rattle from rear suspension

I took my vehicle for it's 15k service to Burwin and mentioned the sound from B-pillar to those guys. They had a look at it and going to replace a spare part in left B-pillar. Will be taking it to them in end of the month for the same

I've had a similar rattle in my 3-door GTI for about 12 months. Rear passenger side, clatters when going over bumps. At first I thought it was the rear LHS seatbelt latch rattling on the hard plastic behind it (who thought up that design gem?) but it's more like something inside the side panel.

What's the B-pillar rattle people are talking about? That's a possibility too...

Hi just been on the forum a couple days. Have a 2012 golf6 cabriolet and a brand new golf7 90tsi. I have the very same issue with my rear suspension, hard to pinpoint but I would say drivers side rear . Occurs over broken bitumen sub 70kmh potholes stir water and manholes. Checked rear springs exhaust and all suspension. Components. If you didn't know better it's like an old holden with a stuffed shocky. Yes the rear cargo shelf cover us loose but it's not the noise have checked. Love the 7 over the 6 the dsg is far better. Sorry I don't have answer to the noise issue...

Have you tried wrapping a 5cm length of insulation tape around the striker of the rear latch? This was the source of my rear rattle

There is a lubricant paste for the door locks/hinges that rectifies the door latch rattles.
