GTI spring rates around the world

I'm interested if there are different spring rates between European, Australian, and US versions of the Mk6 GTI. I'd like to believe that they are all the same, but don't have any data to support it.

Anyone in Australia have any info on this?

I don't have any info, but I would know a way which could very well determine whether this is true or not.

Get the VIN for a USA delivered GTI, and for an Australian delivered GTI, and for a European one (say UK or Germany), and then look up the vehicle specific information on erWin. It'll cost you 4 Euro for the 1 hour flat rate.

This will show you all the "Pr Numbers" which go into the building of an individual car.
If you have different PR Numbers related to suspension, dampers, shocks etc, this could indicate that the suspension is different between countries.
