  • Any stocks for GTD in Sydney or NSW

    Hi everyone,

I would love to novated lease a GTD. But it sounds to me that it would take ages to deliver if I order a new car.

Anybody here has any information if any dealership has stocks for the GTD? Both demo or new are great for me.

Or if I really have to order one, what will be the estimated time to deliver to Australia?

Thanks in advance for your valuable information.

    Don't restrict yourself to NSW.

I'm picking my R up in Victoria, and I have friends who have bought cars in WA and shipped to Sydney.

    Golf R. Sold
    Citroen DS3 Dsport. Sold
    2016 Skoda Octavia RS Wagon.

Ideo and Corey_R: I agere with you guys. I better not to restrict myself just to NSW or Sydney. Will the dealers in other states deal with the registration in NSW?

GTi11.5: I better check with Wakeling campbelltown tomorrow. Thanks for telling me.

I will try to call them tomorrow as well. Metallic Grey is actually a good colour, but my girlfriend would like white. But i guess given the availability of GTD in the country at the moment, I guess we shouldn't be too fussy about the colour hahaha.

Hope the one in Canberra will be DSG as well. We would love to try the paddle shift = )

I am fairly sure that it is DSG.... Talking to the sales rep at Slaven, is that if you ordered now you can have one in November - not great news for fans of GTDs

No, basically. You need to deal with rego (including blue slip) yourself.

My lease company (I'm on a novated lease as well) is very helpful - basically, I have the amount that stamp duty, rego, plates etc will cost, they give me that money, and I pay for it and it is included in the lease cost.

If you decide to pick it up yourself the dealer organises an unreigstered vehicle permit which means you can drive it home, then take it to get a blue slip at an authorised station (54.50) and then to the RTA for plates. You pay stamp duty etc then. Bit more running around, but it does mean you can get your car quicker.

As stated below, this isn't always the case. Many dealerships are part of a larger company. So purchasing from one dealership out of state can have it transfered to another dealership in another state owned by the same company and registered there etc.

The other situation is the ACT dealers who can register a car for NSW etc.

Most of the Rego inspectors in the ACT will do NSW as well, being as quite a lot of the regional NSW close to us don't have many places to go.

Oh and I got my Candy White GTD from Belco, was looking at a long wait for a new order till I change my mind from the grey to the white.

I had typed that out, but suddenly wasn't so sure of myself on that one (ACT rego/NSW rego)

And just clean forgot about the linked dealerships.

But, what I say is true for dealerships who aren't linked to other dealerships and are not located in the ACT!

Another way - If you have a relationship with a dealer, you can get the car sent from the interstate dealer to your dealer and your dealer can do the pre delivery and rego for you. This is how I got my Cobra from Vic to NSW. I paid the Vic Dealer (not linked to the NSW Dealer) for the delivery cost to NSW and the on road cost of the car based on NSW rego and stamp duty. NSW dealer (Kloster Ford) did the pre delivery and organised NSW rego and stamp duty costs. NSW dealer charged these costs to the Vic Dealer. I don't think most dealers would do this, depends if you have a relationship with them or if they want to build one with you for the future
