This past few days I've noticed that my tailgate doesn't fully open by means of the struts, I have to manually push it all the way to avoid banging my head on the half open door. Just this morning I noticed that the top of the LH strut where it clamps onto the tailgate had an oily substance on the end cap. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on? Do I have to have the strut replaced?
