Good point Greg, instead of tooting the horn I could lob a can of HTFU at them through the window!

To be fair I have some uprated horns from Hella, and they are good for the odd time you want to let someone know you are there. Seems to get the point across!2014 Skoda Yeti TDI Outdoor 4x4 | Audi Q3 CFGC repower | Darkside tune and Race Cams | Darkside dump pDPF | Wagner Comp IC | Snow Water Meth | Bilstein B6 H&R springs | Rays Homura 2x7 18 x 8" 255 Potenza Sports | Golf R subframe | Superpro sways and bushings | 034 engine mounts | MK6 GTI brakes |

I've no trouble with the length of beep from the horn but it is a little tough to push. But not really any different to the MkV from my experience. For shorter blasts, try more towards the edge rather than the centre maybe?GTI | Carbon | Man | 5 door | Leather | 18" Detroit | Bluetooth | MDI | Bi-Xenon

I'd recommend applying fairly serious force and perhaps inserting one of those tins of htfu somewhere.... just beeping your horn is hardly sufficient to dissuade someone from kissin' yer missusOriginally posted by Frankenstrat View Postthe idiot that was cutting me off has already got home, kissed the missus and ....

I doubt it's a quirk as there are others that have the same characteristics. Even our Tig is the same yet with the Mk5 style steering wheel.Originally posted by logger View PostI have wondered this too. Be interesting to know if this characteristic is intentional or simply a quirk.
As mentioned, my friend with her 90TSI Golf was the opposite, she could "chirp" the horn nicely. She says it's because she uses it a lot in Melbourne

Well I would assume the pad is kept off the contact plate by 3 or more springs, you could always pull it apart and downgrade the springs!2014 Skoda Yeti TDI Outdoor 4x4 | Audi Q3 CFGC repower | Darkside tune and Race Cams | Darkside dump pDPF | Wagner Comp IC | Snow Water Meth | Bilstein B6 H&R springs | Rays Homura 2x7 18 x 8" 255 Potenza Sports | Golf R subframe | Superpro sways and bushings | 034 engine mounts | MK6 GTI brakes |

Maybe buy some dumb bells? If the horn is an issue to press... Its a good horn and sounds like the BMW "**** OFF!!" horn.
