like a previous post, I have noticed that my rear wiper shudders badly (front are fine) after a few wipes. From what I read, is the solution to spray something on the back (I got the dealer to replace the rubber recently, but does not seem to have changed) of the rear window. I find it strange that I don't suffer from the front wiper issues people here have mainly alluded to.

hey guys,
i used to have the horrible screeching windscreen wiper deal too, for quite a while - i even replaced the wipers a few times which was likely very unnecessary.
i find that the best way to stop the screeching it to apply some of whatever you're using to protect your car - be that wax or polymer sealant etc, to the windscreen and rear window.
not only has it stopped my wipers making noise, it helps repel rain really well, and at highway speeds the water just beads off the windscreen to the point that at anything above 80kmh i dont really use the wipers unless the rain is really heavy - the screen is that clear.

The A980s it is?
Make me an offer if you think it'll fit on yours.

Just putting it out there I also had the shuddering problem, I clay bar'd the front windows same as if I would clay bar the paint and suprise suprise no more shuddering.
Not saying it will work for everyone but it certainly resolved mine.

My car is only 1 month old.
In the last few days with rain in Adelaide, my wipers shudders badly on the down stroke, especially on the drivers side wiper.
It is so bad that I had to turn the wiper off. I use Rain-x on my windscreen, so the rain rolls off when the car is in motion.
From what I read from this thread, there doesn't seem to be a conclusive remedy for this problem.
Should I take it back to the dealer for them to look at?

An update on the the wiper blades I ordered from this mob:
We offer the biggest range of high-quality windscreen wiper blades to fit your VW Golf Hatchback 2009 to 2012 vehicle. Order online today with fast dispatch times.
They arrived in a week, are genuine Bosch, fit in a minute (once you have the wipers in the service position and read your manual if you don't know what this means) and have been working well for the last few months with no skipping or shuddering.2018 Tiguan 110TSI Comfortline + DAP

Hi All, I've got a MkVI Golf GTI and need new blades (3 years old now). I have found the Bosch Aeroblade A980S online from plenty of UK sellers (600mm/475mm) but none of them can ship to Australia except wiperblades.co.uk.
Does anyone have experience with them and are they reputable? Are the blades right for the Golf Mk6?
Has anyone bought their generic brand instead of the Bosch ones? Looks like the branded ones can be delivered here for around AU$42.
Thanks for your help.GTI, 5 dr DSG, Tornado Red

Hi,
Nothing but good experience with wiperblades.co.uk but that is my personal experience.
I have ordered with them twice now and would order from them again. Got a new set of Bosch aeroblades for the MkV recently and I am very happy with the purchase and service. Again, my personal experience.
