Sounds like a RWD that finally grabbed traction whilst blasting down the track!

Run 3 Car 2407 was the M3 and Run 4 T147 was a '91 Liberty worked within an inch. It was running low 13's earlier in the night!

Had some fun last night at Perth Motorplex

        Stock 3Dr R, Man.
Pushed 14.9 with ESC on, 14.5 ESC off.

Was hoping to go sub 14, but just couldn't get the launches right. Has anybody had exprieince with how to engage launch control with ESC off. It would only hold the 4000RPM with ESC on.

What I was finding was that with ESC on the Revs would hold a 3800, however with ESC off they would red line. Not sure if this is a form of Launch control in the manual. Ideally I would like to have had ESC off, with the revs still at 3800, instead of having to balance them.

Hi NickW, welcome to the forums.

I forgot about this thread... or maybe when this thread opened, I had forgot about the other thread.
Anyway, recent discussion of this topic is in the other thread, Golf R Acceleration and Performance Data.

I'll closing this one so we don't have parallel discussions on the same topic. Cheers.
