  • Prewoodec dash trim kits

I was hoping to show you a beautiful new burl wood dash trim on my Golf VI but it hasn't worked out that way. I ordered it from a distributor in Germany that advertised 'a perfect fit' - but as you can see from the photos its anything but.

I have sent the photos to the distributor and he says that I have a 'prestyled' trim (black pyramid) and that I should have told him this before ordering. The product only fits the plain black plastic trim (I didn't know such a trim existed). He wont allow the kit to be returned for a refund and has been really rude.

"By the way, i am the Owner/Geschäftsführer. And you could check this things all
before you ordered, because ONE sentence, and we would told you that it never will
fit to your car, if you have any prestyling by VW. "

I have given up trying to return the product but hope this post helps others who may be considering a Prewoodec Dash Kit

I don't think there's too many people out there that would want to put fake wood trim bits in their car but hey I might be wrong.

On a side note, thanks heaps for posting that info about it.. But tbh looking at it its almost lucky that it didnt fit. It looks like it should be in the kitchen.

Never understood why anyone wants that wood look in a car. Even in Rolls Royces it looks funny to me. But we are all different and have different tastes, so horses for courses.

All we need now is some external wood panels for the doors and we could get all Brady Bunch on our Golfs!

And that would be a crappy looking kitchen too (pointed out with all due respect to JPH).
