Something woooing out from the car somewhere?

Hi Guys

anyone here notice as the subject suggest "sounds like wooing" when travel on free way? it's like the sound of the air condition. however i thought this may be the case, but it's not when i turn the air cond off, the wooing sound still comes out.. this only happen on high speed and when i said high speed 100km an hour.

if anyone here is experiencing the same kind of sound, please kindly share.

your thoughts are greatly appreciated people.

Is your partner a mute by any chance?
If neither of the above I'd suggest it's probably tyre noise...

Its wind noise. I took the GolF R AND GTI for a wrap down the M4, and whenever I apporached 100km/h, the car sounded very un-German like!! Like there is air getting in somewhere, or there is great resistance outside around the mirrors etc. Anyway not sure exactly where its coming from, but I did get it at speed.

Windshield seal? Wheel bearing? Tires? Does it sound like its coming from everywhere, or in a particular corner of the vehicle?

According to Maverick, even when the air-conditioning is switched off via the Climatronic, the compressor is still engaged (even if only working very slightly). What you're describing sounds more like wind noise to me, though.

is it just yourself having fun and saying woooeee multiple times (this the 'ing')?

perhaps just windnoise, i havnt heard it myself but do notice a bit of windnoise that sounds like windnoise when i travel quick accompanied with low revs......
