Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Yeah - I saw a blog on this a few months ago.
Started as a Jetta Sportswagon (basically our Golf Wagon), then ordered the Golf R front body panels, bumper, grills, lights, etc.
Then they figured it now doesn't look unique up front, so they modified it further to add the fog lights, remove the VW badge and fill in the bonnet...
I think it has worked well

Awww, here I was hoping by the title of this thread that my problems are solved in terms of what to buy the wife for her next car

What I'd like to know is how he managed to get R styled LED tails for it.

Yeah, I saw that before, but they don't actually look like they're led lights to me. They look more like they're just masked with tint or whatever to have the shape of the R lights most visible... the pictures are a bit small to see for sure.

You think so? Looks too good to be a mock up of the real thing.

I also spotted this a month or so ago.

Lucky him that he now has such a unique car that know one else has.

              Looks so tough,

                No AWD Then?

Shame - that'd be an awesome bit of kit.
                Its here!
