False alarm?

Has anyone experienced the alarm in their Golf going off for no apparent reason?

My Golf was locked up at home in the garage last night and at about 1am the alarm started sounding. Windows were up, no bugs inside the car, no low flying jets or loud music, no earthquakes, no cats or dogs in the garage and no burgler (I think!).
