Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • NSW- 90tsi wagon fault

Hi I have a golf 90tsi manual hatch and a the wife has a 90tsi dsg wagon. Apart from the 7 speeds vs 6 in the MT. the dsg just feels so much faster and you can hear the turbo whistle as opposed to the manual hatch where you cant hear the whistle. I know the hatch has the sound deadened windscreen and the wagon does not however even with windows down it sounds the the vw mexico plant has boosted the wagon just beyond that 9psi mark as its 150kg heaver than my hatch but it feels faster. Any insights appreciated.
The second bit of news is that my dsg in the wagon needs to be replaced (car is a may 2010 build with 2000kms on it) as it made a clicking noise when backing off the gas in sport mode.

The DSG _is_ faster. And yes, the hatch _is_ quieter. So I'm not really sure what you're looking for...

My suggestion is to take the hatch to your dealer. Turbo boost is monitored, so if you feel that the turbo isn't working as it should, then the dealer will be able to test.

As for the DSG in the wagon, has the dealer said that it is to be replaced? What was the fault they found?
Also, what is the thread title supposed to mean? You seem to be asking a question about the hatch, yet the title mentions the wagon. Let me know and I'll correct the title for you.

Hello, I have both a 90tsi hatch manual and a 90tsi wagon dsg, the fault is with the wagons dsg and i dont think the internal dsg clutch disengages fully when coasting. A complete swapover of the dsg box is required. The job gets done next week so i can comment more then

It gets worse, They just replaced the DSG box with mechatronics and the noise is still there. What a waste of VW's $8500. Ill have to go back again. I asked them if they drove it before calling to say its ready and they assured me they did. Obviously they did not check properly
