I've lost a petrol cap in the past, left it on top of the petrol bowser and drove off!
Our Grand Voyager has a great system, the cap is keylocked (use a little removable traditional key from the electronic key device) and has a small length of insulated wire connected to it, which hooks over the inside of the petrol cap flap so you can't close the flap without putting the cap on, and you can't lose the cap either.2010 MY11 Mk VI Golf GTI [5Dr|DSG|Carbon Steel|MDI|Bluetooth|Street Legal Tint]

Hey Mr Gee,
according to the owners manual you go to the top of the class, well done!
Did any of you look in your owners manuals to see where it was supposed to sit?
No meaning this to sound like a sarcastic remark, just trying to establish if the cap is falling off where Mr Gee has got his?
I went to fill up on Friday for the first time and also didnt know where to put the cap (note to ones self, must look in owners manual when
I get home) then forgot about it till I saw this thread, so then went and had a look and yep just like Mr Gee has done.Current ride..MY10 Golf MkVI GTI | 5 dr | CW | < DSG >| Leather| Dynaudio | Sensors | Tint | R tails

So like, now someone has posted a photo (thanks mr gee - I can confirm the MKIV Polo GTI works exactly the same way) and someone else has read the manual to confirm that's the correct method (thanks GTI-mk6), can I close off this thread now?
Or do people still have several pages of complaining to do about how it could have been designed better?
