  • Electric driver's seat - memory function?

Have searched other threads, and it's still not obvious to me if the electric adjustable driver's seat (available only with the leather) includes a memory, or stored settings, function.

If it means not bashing the crap out of my knees every time I get in after my wife has been driving, it might even be worth $600!

No - no memory function, unfortunately.

I would have ordered it if it had memory. Didn't seem worth the money otherwise.

Yeh doesn't seem like you get much value for the electronic option without memory.

Electric seats are utterly useless without a memory function.

Without it they are just slower to adjust.

Once you have memory seats, you can never buy a car without them again.

So what's your plan with the 118TSI?

The Golf is for my wife, I won't be driving it.

                  I have an XF.

There's not much point to getting, agree.

Do the standard leather seats still have electric 4-way control for lumbar support adjustments (as was standard on the R32 on both seats) or have a leaver like the cloth ones?

The leather option in the GTI / GTD / R also gives you the seat heating and the electric 4-way control for the lumbar support, on both seats.

If Ford was able to put memory seats into a Falcon back in the 80's, why can't VW do it now?
