Looking at that vid an from what you say, it opens of the key fob, but the boot button on the key fob on unlocks the boot doesn't it? not actually un latch it? I w2as certain you still had to have a hand party with the badge for that.

Just did this simple mod.
Unbolt the ball joint on the body and rotate it 180 deg. It's the black bracket held on by 2 torx bolts.
You will have to unhook both struts to make it easier and use a broom handle to hold it up or do what I did and use your head!
Once both the brackets are backwards (no need to swap side to side- just rotate it!), the hatch will be slightly lower. *
Once this is done, close the hatch (will need more force to close, but I'd rather that than a hatch that doesn't know if it's open or closed!)
Push and hold the middle boot release button and watch your 10mins of handy work!
*You will need to get the other sturts if you want the hatch to clear your head (if you're tall or just duck a bit more!)
Cancel that. The struts aren't strong enough to push the hatch up. Looks like I'm going to order the Skoda struts!Last edited by ozgti; 23-06-2010, 11:44 PM.
