I'd be waiting to see what the Oettinger kit ends up looking like. In my opinion they've always had a very high quality product which looks more like it was official from the Volkswagen 'performance' division than from an aftermarket tuner. Think BMW M3 vs BMW 335i.
I had the Oettinger bodykit on my MKV and it cost around $4k, plus painting and fitting. You can see it in my Avatar The great thing was that because it still followed the VW Golf GTI MKV design theme and lines, only car enthusiasts, specifically VW or european car enthusiasts, really only noticed the difference - so I didn't attract unwanted attention... which was great until I actually NEEDED a driver to notice my car instead of him drifting off at the wheel of his bus in a 70kph zone when I was last car in the line of a traffic jam
