2011 Build Mk6 GTI - LED Lights, Push Button Start?

I think LEDs are available as an option for GTI in Germany (E350) but are not available in UK.
LED tail lights can be purchased as parts via internet but they are very exy. Also because they draw less power a fault will show up in the MFD as the system thinks the bulbs have failed. Apparently there is a wired in fix for this (from Fiscon?) but for some reason it only suits left hand drive cars.
Although they are available in Germany, I can't see the LED's being offered in the Mk6 GTI in Aus as the R is getting lots of criticism for not standing out enough already and the LEDs are one key point of difference. I suppose it will depend on whether the R's sell like hot cakes or can't be shifted.

Hi Guys
Just wondering, seem as a few are sussing out getting a gti and are curious if the 2011 built model will feature some new additions etc...
Has this been done by vw before in the past?
When the MK V GTI came out, in 2004/2005, did the next years model of the MK V GTI have some improvements/additions feature wise, etc?
Thanks

I dont see the fuss in a push button start. And if that is the only feature in the 2011 build then i am happy i got a 2010 build as i dont want a push button start.MK7.5 R|Lapiz Blue|DAP|Sunroof|Tint

However, the contents of this thread is purely speculation. So I wouldn't be holding off on your purchase on the chance that the MY11 GTI will have LED lights and Push Button start.
1) These are a 'dealer accessory' in Europe and I can't personally see that changing.
2) Push Button appeared in a few of the pre-production cars and 'show specials' in Europe. If it were to be a feature of the MY11 cars, you'd think that it would have been included in the specs and feature list dealers received for the Golf R, being that it will have a June / July release, it would make sense to release that as a MY11 from the start, rather than have only a few months of MY10 then change to MY11.
But - even my comments are purely speculation, so

As an aside, while the manual doesn't state it also covers the R, it does include specs and performance claims for a 188kw/330Nm 4Motion version - which is a hot-weather spec R by any other name, and surely wouldn't be marketed as a GTI in any markets?2008 MkV Volkswagen Golf R32 DSG

Golf is a bit slow with this technology (keyless entry), thought something like this where so many car companies are doing it, they should be doing it as well.
NOT saying i think it is good or bad... for some reason i actually like turning the key and starting the engine. I have "comfort access" on my 135, and it has caused some troubles before, such as dropping missus off in a busy street and driving off, while she has the key in her handbag!! and my car stopping in the middle of the road.
And also maybe i'm old fashion or have something wrong with me, but yeah i just like putting the key into the ignition and starting the engine, it feels like i'm driving a car.

On most Euro cars I'm aware of, it's still only an option. From what I can see from looking around places like carsales, and dealer showrooms, it still isn't even a highly selected option. I personally don't think that this is one of those features I'd be happy with the car increasing in cost to include. Other's may feel different, but that's my opinion on it

The push button can be a hassle when you need to use both hands (one to insert the key on one side of the steering wheel, the other to push the button) to start a car. It's an unnecessary fiddle driven by marketing departments.--------------------------
