        Good work midlifecrisis.

I must say I'm surprised that the 118TSI wagon is only $1000 more than the hatch! That does not bode well for its VW's cousin, the Octavia 1.8 TSI at $35,290.

Will be interesting to see how this stacks up against the facelifted Mazda6 Touring wagon.

Yes, the soon to be released Mazda 6 Touring is the only car left after my cull that might beat out a Golf Wagon purchase. 6 has new suspension, leather, turn/signal warning, emergency brake hazard light flash, high speed take over warning, and more space. And probably a knee airbag.

Its going to be an interesting race for me. If I can get close to the mythical 13% off rrp+on road costs that others have. then I'll probably not wait for the Mazda. If not then it might come down to test drives, features and final dollars - as much as I would prefer a VW the Mazda just might pip it if dealers aren't doing deals on the new Golf wagon, or the Mazda is awesomely featured or if the wait for Golf Wagons is near years end. But I do really want a VW..my parents have two now after some pushing from me over the years. *sigh* Where is my GTI wagon

You can buy one in Oz right now, they've have been available for a couple of years now. Mind you, the "Skoda", "Octavia" and "vRS" badges might confuse you at first, but I promise you'll get used to them after a while (even if badge snobs never will)

lol... oh, I too thought this thread was a duplicate, until I came in and found that it was WAGON pricing!

Doh! Since this thread is named wrong, some other newbie will probably now start another thread to 'reveal' the wagon pricing!

I must say, I'm pretty happy with those prices. I've thought that the Golf Wagon is LONG OVERDUE in this country. I hope it sells well

As an Octavia TSI owner I am disappointed to see these prices regardless of spec as Skoda are still working on brand awareness let alone point of difference when it comes to spec.

It's just $2500 for GTI's since they come with the RCD-510 instead of the RCD-310 as standard.

I don't suppose anyone knows where the wagon is made? The North American version, the Jetta wagon, is made in Mexico. I can't find any mention on the ones Europe or Australia will get.

Would it matter to my purchase decisions? Probably. I'm such a brand snob

I am pretty sure it's Germany.

Also USA now get 5 years powertrain!

It's Mexico ... But no 5 year warranty like USA.
                              No knee airbag.
Sports has no sports seats but $200 cheaper
