Hah, was just talking to a mate on the w'end about VW's Australia's pricing, or more along the lines of how they can justify the premium price here when compared to OS.
This is a good move - indicates to me that they are feeling the pressure on being overpriced.

Let's see how it shakes out.

yeah...all the options are not cheap on VW cars...so i just pick what i really need...

just rang my dealer and he said those who signed the contract but haven't pickep their cars up will pay the amount according to the new price at the delivery date.
so don't worry guys...every dealer will do that, i reckon!!

So far noone has complained about any dealership, so that's a good sign. Fingers crossed.

Just had the same reponse from my dealer as Roy did. Said that I can either have $200 of assesories or knock it off the price at the end..

So yeh, seems like all dealerships will do it.

So they only reduced prices on base models and paint? What about all other expensive options.. They are all 'imported' as well.

They probably could've introduced more price reductions but it's completely up to VW and their accountants what to pass on
