Reading my contract, that was also the impression I got re the RRP clause in the contract...
I guess it's whether or not the clause is only limited to a change in "Vehicle Price" or if it is applied to the total purchase price? Or would that not matter?

For the GTI buyers, it's not that detrimental, with it being $150 - $200 discount, however for all the other models, the discount become a lot more substantial....

For GTI owners, it's $200 save for the paint. $200 is a lot, but when dealers are not passing on these reductions, the comfort line and trendline buyers are the one hurt most.. $1000 - $1200!!!

I try to not expect it's passed on in full. But at least most of it, say $800 for my 118TSI. I'll find out from my dealer tomorrow.

@jy01752684: Absolutely, don't get me wrong, $200 off is still great in anyones book, but you've said what I was getting at... that if the saving are not passed on, it's the comfort and trendline buyers that suffer the most.

Given what's been said in the previous post, seems like dealers will be passing most of it on...

Yeah - I'd be surprised if any dealer did not pass it on. Because if they didn't, people will just come on to the forums here and post the salesman's name and the dealership name and state their discontent in the savings not being passed along! lol

The Tiguan 125TSI is only $33,990 RRP. I haven't seen the Dakar advertising, but $37,990 would be pretty damn close to what I'd calculate it's 'on-road' price would be, after dealer delivery, registration, ctp, and stamp duties etc.
