Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • GTi Optional Fitting

Thank you for everyone's response, i am think to buy a GTi instead a Jetta...
so what options i need to choose,
there are some i must have:

    sunroof (my gf 1st preference!!)
    Bi-Xenon (nothing, just like it)
    Parking Assist (yeah...useful...maybe)

For ACC, is it necessary to fit on? is there any big differences between normal, sport, comfort? and how about add ACC with 18# alloy, works ok?
leather and GPS not too sure, if i have a corp disc, i will add extra leather... i think the leather seat will add some extra money when you resale your car,

    what are your guys preference?

I'm pretty sure the only one of those options available on a Suzuki or Peugot is the sunroof. You should stick with the VW's :p

If you want us to help spend your money? Buy every option. It comes down to the individual to what options you want. You need to know what you want to spend on the car and to what options you want.

If you are thinking of adding all the options or some of the options that you are going to get a good resale value of your car, think again!!.. Unfortunately it doesn't bump the price up by a huge margin. it's the gain of the buyer that is going to buy your car.

With ACC, it's a waste of money, if you are thinking of fitting the 18" wheel, the drive feel is stiff as it is, unless you want it to be soften up, then go for the Adaptive. I would trade the ACC for the leather and leave the Xenon headlamp out. Clearly another waste of your money, unless you got lots to burnt.

I'd strongly disagree there. I'm not sure how many VW dealers do test drives at night, but it's a shame more don't as the benefit of Xenons cannot truely be understood until you've experienced them yourself.

And now the MK6 has cornering headlights when you get the Xenon. How awesome is that! The car actually illuminates where you're turning so you're not just going totally blind. All cars should have this

I'd never purchase a car without Xenons again given the choice
