  • Merry Xmas - My New CW with VRM V710

    Hi Guys,

Finally after almost 4 months of wait my new car has arrived.

Tinted window are coming next week. Quick question for you guys, how much would it cost to lower my car by 30mm, aprrox?

Nice whip, nice to see you are tinting, and at least looking at lowering. A nice 30-40mm drop would have that looking just right.

They seem to stick out a bit... are they the correct offset?

        Congrats!

Those wheels cannot be the correct offset... they're definitely sticking out.

They look pretty good, the front's do seem to stick out a bit though.

I always thought the VMR's were darker than that.
Did you go gunmetal or grey/silver?

Hmmm.. will you be able to lower it without it rubbing?

                  Brilliant!

Although as mentioned the offset doesn't seem quite right and it does sit a little high.

What width is the standard width/fitment of the 17" and 18" GTI wheels?

                    Anyone know?

                      I'll hazard a guess at 7.5" wide, ET50, same as mkv ?

What's wrong with a bit of poke lads, with the drop it will look tight

Look at H&R or Eibach springs.
Alternatively try neuspeed springs, maybe at Rennenhaus ?

The point is he may not be able to lower it without it rubbing the guards.

                          +1 above.

Nothing wrong with a little 'poke' if you have the correct setup and some nice camber on the appropriate car.

If the pictured wheels are 45 offset, would the 35 offset stick out more or less?
