  • Rear LEDs coming soon!

They will be standard on Golf R, and available as options on the GTI and GTD.

    More HERE.

    cool!
Theyre quite an aggressive design. Im sure it will upset the people that jumped the gun ordering their mk6s though!

Yeah, but no different to the buggers releasing the full screen MFD on the Mk5 after we bought ours, haha. At least the lights should be an easier retrofit.

I'd wager that VW Aus are going to introduce this as part of the MY11 update.. and perhaps with the Keyless ignition system that was spotted at Frankfurt a couple of months back?

              Hahaha... too late for me.

Planning on retrofitting the lights once they become available. They look the bee's knees! Wonder how much the retrofit will cost?

TBH, as golf 6, modern tech such as keyless start/stop, LED lights, Bi Xenon headlight...should be at least option if they are not standard

Hmmm I might wait till they get put onto eBay. They should be easy to fit, right? I'm aware that the lights may/may not have to be connected to the bus (i.e. not a standard electrical connection)?

I'm quite disappointed that they have released these as an option for all MK6's and standard on the GTI/GTD. It takes away from one of the key exterior differentiators on the Golf R. They could've at least had a different design for the standard cars or something

I'm hoping that the keyless entry is available by the time the Golf R is released though

According to the press release, it is standard on the Golf R, and a euro 350 option for the GTI/GTD. No mention of it being available as an option for the 'lesser' models.

Good spot! It's amazing how many car sites, including Ausmotive as linked in the first post, have said that it's available for standard on R, GTI/GTD and E350 on lesser models.

So the fact that it's a E350 option on the GTI/GTD and not available on lesser models is a bit better!

Not this person. I can totally live without them. LEDs don't do anything for me.
