Norris Group Kedron in Brisbane have quoted $2995, Highway VW Springwood $3495. I have seen on other threads $1995 to $2995. What we should pay, as little as possible. I would say $500-00 at the most, if not fully waived.

David @ Central Coast Volkswagen has stated that they charge $1995

Apparently part of the 'Corporate Discount' is that dealers that charge $2995 then charge only $995.

However, people have been able to negotiate a complete waiver, either with or without the corporate discount.

The thing is, you need to factor in the overall purchase price and the discount that you're able to negotiate on that. Whether the cost comes off on the car or the dealer delivery, it's all relative... it's the final 'drive away price' which matters

Exactly that Coreying, it's the overall price that matters, although I still think $2,995 is a bit cheeky - Sorry Mr Payne

I probably won't bin it, unless you promise I don't have to discount any further after that lol

Best of luck in your search!

Seems to me all the Brisbane Metro dealers have an unwritten rule not to discount the on roads, seems our market is too small and with few dealers to have actual competition to have any impact. Suspicious maybe????

Too small? There's 7 dealers within 70 minutes of the CBD!

And what does it matter if they give $2000 discount on the dealer delivery or on the car itself, the on-road cost is what matters not if they give you $25,000 for your trade which is worth $20,000 and no discount on the car or they give you $20,000 for your trade and $5,000 on the car. All the dealers will negotiate (with the possible exception of Austral) but you can't expect them to quote discounted figures until you're read to make a deal.

So comparing the dealer delivery charge is absolutely pointless.
